Here was the 2019 Season - (be sure to check out 2021!!)
ART!
A staged reading
THE STORY: How much would you pay for a white painting? Would it matter who the painter was? Would it be art? Three best friends find their friendship on shaky ground once one buys an expensive painting.
Elvis Has Left The Building
It's December 20th, 1970, and Elvis Presley has disappeared. No one, not even his wily manager, "The Colonel", knows of his whereabouts. But the Colonel is all shook up because he has racked up a secret debt -- and with the King himself missing, the only way to pay it off is to find an Elvis impersonator within 24 hours.
Enchanted April
A Staged Reading
From the novel by Elizabeth von Arnim. Feeling lost in the shadows of marriage and forgotten in the rush of 1920s post-war society, two London housewives pool their savings to rent a villa in Italy for a ladies-only holiday away, reluctantly recruiting a pair of difficult upper-class women to share the cost and the experience. Together under the Mediterranean sun, the four women clash—and then begin to bond and bloom—until men once again upset the balance.
Who Am I This Time? (& Other Conundrums Of Love)
The subject of this play—as we are told at the outset—is love, pure and complicated. Set on the stage of The North Crawford Mask & Wig Club ("the finest community theatre in central Connecticut!"), three early comic masterpieces by Kurt Vonnegut (Long Walk to Forever, Who am I This Time? and Go Back to Your Precious Wife and Son) are sewn together into a seamless evening of hilarity and humanity.
Shakespeare in the Park!
Sorry Wrong Number; and The Hitchhiker
A Staged Reading
A mystery thriller, the tale of a neurotic invalid, whose only contact with the outside world is her phone. Over this, one night, because of a crossed wire, she hears plans for a murder, which turns out to be her own.
Secondly, A young man driving across the country keeps seeing a hitchhiker. If it’s the same person every time how can he be crossing the country faster than a man in a car? Or is something else more sinister at play?
The Santaland Diaries
(A Staged Reading)
"Santaland Diaries" is an essay by David Sedaris. It is a humorous account of Sedaris' stint working as a Christmas elf in "Santaland" at Macy's department store.
